Walking off the beaten track

Devon is a melting pot of twisting pathways, coastal treks and miles of ancient tracks. If you love to lace up your boots, pack a waterproof and some sunscreen there’s plenty of stunning landscapes to explore before heading back to our BE Tempted Bar for a refreshing tipple. 

Bantham to Thurlestone

Ideal for dog walkers and families, this easy-going walk is around 3 to 4 miles long and takes you in the footsteps of smugglers and Vikings. Kids love running along the beach and dunes of Bantham hugging this gorgeous coast before heading back through lush South Devon meadows.

A Walk Across the Walkham

Seven miles of stunning countryside accompany you on this breathtaking route. Designed as a one way wander, you may have to hop on the bus to reach the start. Skirting Dartmoor you’ll begin at Yelverton and follow the West Devon Way walking route, you even cross the river at Double Waters before heading across the West Down. Beautiful, but you’ll be ready for a dip in our hot tub when you get back!

Grand Western Canal

For constantly changing scenery and eye-catching wildlife this is the walk for you. Join 11 miles of wandering pathways from Tiverton to Lowdswells and keep your eye out for Kingfishers and swans. If you want something really different why not hop on the horse-drawn barge for a lazy summer treat.
