  • 6th - 8th July: South Devon 1940s Festival, South Devon Railway, The Station, Buckfastleigh

    The South Devon Railway is hosting the South Devon 1940s Festival from the 6th - 8th July when visitors will be able to step back in time with a fantastic array of entertainment for all the family.

    Organised by the Devon Military Vehicle Trust, the 1940s Festival will feature historic military vehicles. Period vehicles will be parked around the site and many staff will be wearing second world war uniforms and clothing.

  • 29 July: Totnes & District Agricultural Show

    The largest one-day event of its kind in the South West. The show, which aims to showcase all that is the South Hams, boasts fantastic demonstrations, music and mayhem running alongside all the more traditional animal displays, parades, classes and competitions.
  • 8th & 9th August: British Firework Championships, Plymouth

    The spectacular two-day event has been held on Plymouth Hoe ever since it began in 1997 and attracts more than 100,000 visitors from all over the country and beyond every year.

    It is one of the main highlights of the city’s events calendar, with Plymouth Hoe providing a fantastic viewing point for the best firework companies in the country to wow the crowds with their dazzling displays in the skies above Plymouth Sound.

    So if your own little monkeys want to be in touch with their wild side this is the perfect place for a fun-filled family trip. Open from 10am every day and fully accessible for wheelchairs and baby buggies, there’s something for everyone.
